Get Rid of Pimples on Your Butt and Thighs

Breakouts don't just occur on your face. You can develop acne (vulgaris) anywhere on the body where skin is present, including your butt and thighs. Unfortunately, pimples in these locations can be painful, itchy and embarrassing to those inflicted with regular breakouts. If you're bothered by lower body acne, use these simple techniques to unlock clear, blemish-free skin that you can be more than proud to show off. Stop hiding your skin because of acne. Get clear skin fast by following these steps.

1. Bathe daily using a body cleanser that contains the active acne ingredient benzoyl peroxide. Your daily body wash should be water-based, not oil-based to prevent acne flair-ups.
2. When bathing, use a loofah instead of a soft wash cloth. Loofah's are slightly abrasive and will easily remove the dead skin cell buildup that often causes body acne breakouts in the first place.

3. Pat dry your entire body after bathing. Never leave excess moisture (water) on the skin when you're bothered by episodes of persistent acne.

4. Apply acne medication directly to your problem areas at least twice a day until acne clears up. The same acne medication labeled for facial use is also appropriate for treating butt and thigh (body) acne.

 5. Wear cotton underwear. Cotton underwear will help absorb extra moisture that builds up on the skin over the course of the day. This is especially important for those who have oily skin.

6. Bathe or shower immediately after sweating or exercise to get rid of pimples on your butt and thighs fast, and to prevent the formation of new ones.

7. Make an appointment to see your doctor if body acne does not clear up, or if it worsens after several weeks.
